OMRAIN STUDIO / PROJECT 01

Brand & launch system

Launch / U.S. wellness

U.S.-market wellness startup · Pre-launch

Selected experience / Rey Gao’s previous brand-side role. Anonymized for public sharing; not an OmRain Studio commission.

01 / A launch with limited room for drift

A U.S.-market wellness startup was preparing to launch, but product, website, content and channel work were moving separately. Budget and headcount were shrinking, ownership was blurred, and customer education had not yet been connected to launch priorities.

The task was to make a credible, executable launch system for a lean team. At this stage, the evidence supports the preparation and operating system—not a completed commercial launch.

02 / Rey’s role and the team’s work

As Brand Strategy Director, Rey’s remit covered positioning, go-to-market planning and launch operations. The work structured the value story, usage narrative and trust-building proof points, then connected them to the customer journey, channel priorities and operating materials.

A three-person brand team gained defined workstreams, issue routes and delivery expectations. The case documents strategic and operational leadership; it does not claim that Rey personally produced every design, technical build or channel asset. Individual production credits are not provided in the anonymized source.

03 / The judgment: make launch decisions explicit

The documented principle was to make launch decisions explicit before adding more activity. With fewer resources and unclear ownership, positioning, education and channel work needed one shared logic. Sequencing was a way to prioritize within those constraints, rather than treating every channel as a simultaneous commitment.

The response connected four layers: a clear promise; a 3/7/14/30-day customer journey; go-to-market priorities across DTC, SEO/blog, KOL, TikTok Shop, social and team-performance work; and the materials and ownership needed to operate them. The source records the channel set and sequencing, but not the confidential order or budget allocation.

The journey brought onboarding, tracking, review, FAQ, safety and support into the launch brief. The published summary does not assign a specific intervention to each day, so the outline below preserves the documented checkpoints without inventing a day-by-day plan.

A visible working structure / Launch brief outline

Reconstructed from the anonymized project documentation, page 2. This is a readable outline of the documented framework, not an original client artifact or a record of confidential findings.

Promise & proof
Positioning architecture → value story → usage narrative → trust-building proof points. Outputs included positioning architecture and bilingual messaging.
Customer journey
Day 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 checkpoints; onboarding, tracking, review, FAQ, safety and support. Outputs included a customer journey and education guide.
Launch priorities
Diagnose bottlenecks and sequence DTC, SEO/blog, KOL, TikTok Shop, social and team-performance work. Output: a GTM roadmap.
Operating system
Centralize copy, decks, site architecture, templates and SOPs; define owners, issue routing and progress tracking. Output: reusable materials and an SOP library.

What the evidence supports

Delivered

A zero-to-one brand and launch system: positioning architecture, bilingual messaging, a customer journey, education guide, GTM roadmap and SOP library. The original summary records one shared launch logic, clearer ownership for the three-person team and repeatable delivery materials.

Planned scope

Six or more channels/workstreams were sequenced for launch. This describes planning breadth; it is not a count of successfully launched or growing channels.

Not claimed

The source explicitly describes pre-launch work. It provides no verified launch sales, conversion uplift or revenue result, and no numerical before/after measure of team efficiency. Those outcomes are not attributed to this work.
